Day 1: Arrive to San Jose.  Overnight at San Jose Area

Upon your arrival to the Juan Santamaria International Airport, a representative of Costa Rica Paradise Adventure will pick you up and take your family to the city of San Jose. There you will stay in one of our great hotels, and have a chance to prepare for the beginning of the adventure. 

Day 2-4: Transfer to Tortuguero National Park. Overnight at Tortuguero (BLD)

Your vacation starts early, trasnfering to the majestic waterways of the Tortuguero National Park. Private transportation will take you from San Jose city to Caño Blanco where you will board a boat to get to the lodge. Driving through Braulio Carrillo National Park, where you will see beautiful views and abundant vegetation, and crossing banana plantations. During your visit you will explore the natural canals and lagoons that cross the park south-east and north-west, with the view of monkeys, ladder, fruit tree, more than 250 species of birds like toucans, trogons, Montez, Oropendola and parrots.

Day 4: Transfer to La Fortuna, Overnight at La Fortuna (BLD)

After breakfast you will transfer to La Fortuna, home of the most actve volcano of Costa Rica, Arenal Volcano. There you will have lunch and time to rest before heading to Badi Hot Springs, where you will relax on the thermal waters of the Arenal. At Baldi Hot Springs dinner will be served, buffet style.

Day 5- White Water Rafting Pacuare River, Overnight at Arenal (BLD)

After breakfast our rafting operator picks you up and starts the adventure. After the safety talk and a brief review of instructions to peddling, the adventure begins.  You will peddle more than eight miles no scenic waters, stopping in the middle of the river for a quick lunch.

Day 6- Arenal Volcano National Park and Horseback riding to La Fortuna Waterfall.

Ready for the Arenal Volcano Hike, one of the world’s most active volcanoes.  You will explore its National Park and hike the trails through the forest and across the Lava Rivers to a safe viewing observatory from which you may see the majestic volcano’s fireworks and lava rocks crashing down its slopes. At the evening explore the beautiful La Fortuna Waterfall, it is a short descent to the pool at the bottom of this waterfall and it is possible to take a swim in its crystal clear waters.

Day 7- Transfer back to San Jose

Leisure in the morning to relax in the hotel’s pool.  After lunch you will drive to San Jose, visiting the Sarchi town, which is the place of Costa Rican souvenirs.
