This Ultimate Adventure Trip is designed for people who enjoy nature and a top quality adrenaline experience. It requieres of very good physical condition and a intrinsecal love for nature. It involves a hard hike on Mount Chirripó, White Water Rafting at Pacuare Rive (class III - IV), hot springs and a soft hike around the Arenal Volcano.

Day 1:  Arrive to San José and transfer to Perez Zeledon area. Overnight at San Gerardo de Rivas (LD)
One of our Costa Rica Paradise Adventure Representative will pick you up at the Juan Santamaria International Airport. Then the trip begins with a transfer on the Pan-American Highway heading south to the Chirripó Highlands and Cerro de la Muerte.   After a hearty meal, you will spend the afternoon in the quaint village of San Gerardo de Rivas.

Day 2 - 4: Hike at Chirripó National Park. Overnight in the Chirripó National Park (BLD)
By hiking the Mount Chirripó, you will find one of the ultimate experiences to hikers in Costa Rica. Mount Chirripó is the higher mount in Costa Rica, a place where you can expect to see colorful, toucans, trogons, and monkeys. Along the way you will pass by numerous lakes and it is clear why the Talamanca Indians called this area Chirripó “Place of Enchanted Waters”. Enjoy the sunrise; the view to the Pacific and Atlantic is stunning. Continue descending to Refuge Los Crestones. After a second breakfast, you hike back to San Gerardo de Dota and return. This is truly the ultimate hiking experience in Costa Rica. On the fourth day, you will decent to San Gerardo de Rivas where you will take a private transportation back to San José, where you will rest to continue your adventure.

Day 5 - 6: White Water Rafting at Pacuare River and Hot Springs. Overnight at Pacuare Lodge (BLD)
Early in the morning you will transfer to the Pacuare River (class II-III rapids), where you will enjoy a rush of adrenaline while rafting in this amazing river. You will raft for two hour before stopping at Pacuare Lodge, where you will relax and enjoy nature. The next day you continue your trip down the Pacuare River and then transfer to La Fortuna, Arenal area.  Once in Arenal, we will transfer you directly to Baldi Hot Springs, where you will have a chance to relax and rest your sore muscles in the warm natural waters.

Day 7: Hike at Arenal Volcano National Park. Overnight at La Fortuna area (BL)
Arenal Volcano is one of the world’s most active volcanoes, located in the Tilarán Mountains. We explore its National Park, and hike its trails through the forest to a safe viewing observatory from which you may see the majestic volcano’s fireworks. During the afternoon you will have to relax or continue your adventure with an optional Canopy Tour. 

Day 8: Transfer to San José or to Juan Santamaria International Airport (B)
